3D Printer Deck for Klipper

Overview

3D Printer Deck for Klipper puts your 3D printers on your Stream Deck: Klipper (Moonraker, the API behind Mainsail and Fluidd) and OctoPrint. See the progress, the time left and the temperatures at a glance, watch the camera on one key or spread over a whole block of keys, and pause, resume or preheat without opening the web interface.

Actions

- Print Status: a progress ring with the percent, the time left and the clock time it ends, the layer and the file. PRINTING in green, PAUSED in amber, DONE, READY with the nozzle and bed temperatures, ERROR or OFFLINE in red with the reason. Press twice to pause a print or resume a paused one; hold, then press again within 3 seconds to cancel it. Otherwise a press opens the printer's web page. A notification tells you when a print has finished.

- Temperature: any heater or sensor the printer reports (nozzle, bed, chamber, MCU), with the target and a graph of the last minutes. Amber while heating, green at the target.

- Camera: the printer's camera picture, refreshed every 1 to 10 seconds. Put it on neighbouring keys of the same printer and they show one picture together: a row, a 2 x 2 block, a 4 x 3 block on a Stream Deck XL, or any shape. The progress and the time left sit on the picture's corner.

- Quick Action: a command with a second press. Ready-made: home all axes, preheat PLA, PETG or ABS, cool down, motors off, emergency stop, and a firmware restart for Klipper. Or any Klipper macro of your printer (picked from a list), or your own G-code, one command per line. The key spins until the printer accepts it, then shows a check mark or an exclamation mark. A preheat or cool down keeps showing the temperatures and a bar until the nozzle and bed get there. Homing and motors off are refused while printing.

Alerts

When a printer goes offline or into an error and stays there for about 10 seconds, its keys blink and the computer that runs Stream Deck shows a notification (macOS Notification Center, Windows notification), and another one when it is back. Blinking and notifications can be switched off, and any key can be muted.

Setup

Add each printer once in the Printers panel of any key: Klipper with the Moonraker address, OctoPrint with its address and an API key, with a Test button and a live status dot. The camera is found on its own (the webcam set in Mainsail or Fluidd, or OctoPrint's webcam settings); you can also give any snapshot address. Every key then just picks a printer. The keys never store the API keys, so an exported profile contains no secrets.

Stream Deck + and + XL: every action works on the dials too. The camera spreads over neighbouring touch strip parts; rotate a Temperature dial to change the graph's time span.

A key's Title becomes the name shown on it. Runs locally on your computer: no account, no cloud service, no subscription. Works with any Klipper printer running Moonraker (Voron, Creality K1 and Ender with Klipper, RatRig and others) and with OctoPrint.
