ADI-2 Control

Overview

ADI-2 Control puts your RME ADI-2 converter on the Stream Deck: volume, mute, source, EQ presets, loudness, setups and almost every menu setting, on keys and Stream Deck + dials, with live values read straight from the unit. Unofficial; for ADI-2 Pro EX, Pro FS / FS R BE, 2/4 Pro SE and DAC.

ACTIONS • Level – volume, bass, treble, balance, width, loudness, every parametric EQ band and input trim, per output. Dials: turn to adjust, push and turn for 0.1 dB steps; the push is assignable (mute, reset, Recall, Loudness / EQ / Bass-Treble / Dim on/off). Keys: mute, up, down or recall a value. • Setting – source, output level, crossfeed, DA/AD filter, mono, polarity, EQ and EQ preset, Bass/Treble, loudness, dim, mute, plus device settings such as Basic Mode, clock source, SPDIF input, SRC, Dual / Balanced Phones, Auto Dark and display. A key steps through the options, selects one option and lights while it is active, or switches between two – e.g. PC 1 and PC 2 on AES and Analog. A dial browses the options and sets on push, or changes directly. • Load Setup – one of the unit's nine setups, shown by the name stored in the unit; the setup last loaded is marked. • Status – the connection (green Connected, red No device, amber Port busy), the unit's name and device ID, its clock source and sample rate, or the digital input signal (AES / SPDIF, ADI-2 Pro models). Press to re-read the unit.

HOLD AND TOUCH A key can carry a second action that runs when it is held for about half a second: mute / recall / reset on Level keys, store the unit's current EQ as the key's preset, save the current state into the setup. On Stream Deck + and + XL, a tap and a touch-and-hold on the touch strip can do something other than the dial's push.

LIVE AND TRUE TO THE UNIT EQ presets and setups show the names stored in your unit. Changes made at the unit, by IR remote or in ADI-2 Remote show up on the deck. Options the unit refuses at the moment – a source without signal – are skipped. Recall and Link work as in ADI-2 Remote. The graphics follow the unit's Meter Color and Display Mode, and Level controls can show the unit's own volume screen while a value changes.

READY-MADE PROFILES A profile for Stream Deck MK.2, Stream Deck + and Stream Deck + XL comes with the plugin; Stream Deck offers it on installation, and the settings have a button to install it later.

REQUIREMENTS • Any Stream Deck: keys on MK.2, Mini, XL, Neo, +, + XL and Stream Deck Mobile; dial controls on Stream Deck + and + XL. • RME ADI-2 connected by USB. • On the unit: SETUP > Options > Device Mode / DSD > MIDI Control = On. • Windows: RME MADIface series driver (the one ADI-2 Remote needs). No other software. • On Windows, close ADI-2 Remote if a key shows PORT BUSY. Windows Smart App Control blocks the plugin's MIDI helper (BLOCKED BY WINDOWS); the macOS version is signed and notarized.

No level meters: the ADI-2 does not send audio levels over MIDI. Not affiliated with RME or Elgato.

First release.

ADI-2 Control brings your RME ADI-2 (Pro EX, Pro FS / FS R BE, 2/4 Pro SE, DAC) onto the Stream Deck.

• Level: volume, bass, treble, balance, every EQ band and more on keys and dials; push and turn for fine steps, assignable push (mute, reset, Recall, Loudness / EQ / Bass-Treble / Dim on/off).

• Setting: sources, filters, EQ presets, loudness, dim, output levels and device settings – step through options, select one that lights while active, or switch between two.

• Load Setup: the unit's nine setups by their stored names; hold the key to save the current state.

• Status: connection, unit, clock and sample rate, digital input signal.

• Hold a key for a second action, e.g. store the current EQ as the key's preset.

• Stream Deck + / + XL: tap and touch-and-hold on the touch strip can differ from the push.

• Live values: changes at the unit, by IR remote or in ADI-2 Remote show up on the deck; preset and setup names come from the unit; Recall and Link as in ADI-2 Remote.

• Graphics follow the unit's Meter Color and Display Mode; optional unit-style volume screen while a value changes.

• Ready-made profiles for Stream Deck MK.2, + and + XL.
