Afterglow

Afterglow draws cursor trails and click effects across your whole Mac screen, turned on from a Stream Deck key. It is for streamers, presenters, teachers, gamers and anyone who wants a pointer people can follow, or just enjoys a good one.

Tap a key to turn its look on or off. Hold it for the next look. Place several keys for several looks.

EIGHTEEN LOOKS. Showy: Aurora, Comet, Silk, Ink, Stardust, Ember, Neon, Pixels, Comic, Doodle, Fuse and Snake. Subtle: Laser pointer, Halo, Reticle, Glow, Whisper and Echo. Choose your colours, size and length, or let the look change by itself.

NINETEEN CLICKS. Flint sparks, firework, lightning, confetti, an ant that walks off, cracked glass, and quiet ones like a tap dot or a hit marker. Match the trail picks one that fits each look. Or turn the trail off and keep only the clicks.

FUSE. The trail becomes a cord. Click to light it, and the flame runs both ways.

SNAKE. It follows your pointer. Click to drop food, and it eats and grows, then shrinks when you stop.

DIM. Darken the screen around the pointer by 10 to 60%.

QUICK SET. One choice for presenting, teaching, streaming or gaming.

Everything is click-through and does not get in your way. It shows in full-screen recordings and in OBS Display Capture, but not in a capture of a single window. On a Stream Deck Neo, an Infobar shows the look.

macOS only. Needs macOS 13 or later and Stream Deck 7.6 or later. No permissions, no account, no network, nothing to install.

First release.
