How to Use

Pre-requisite: Generate a Bluesky App Password at BlueSky > Settings > Privacy and Security > App Passwords > Add App Password.

Go Live: Drag the action to a button and fill in your Bluesky handle, App Password, and optional message/thumbnail/gif. You must post the Twitch, Youtube or other stream url for the Go Live status to be set, and it needs to be supported by Bluesky (currently supported as of July 2026: Twitch, Youtube, Substack, beehiiv, Streamplace, Bluecast). There is a small lag when using gif as they need to be converted to mp4 for Bluesky (the green checkmark on your Streamdeck key will signal when it went through).

End Stream: Use this action to clear your status badge when you finish your broadcast.

Duration: Set a custom duration (5 minutes to 4 hours) for the live badge to stay active.

YouTube, Substack & beehiiv live status support: The "Set Live Status on Bluesky" action now supports all Bluesky-approved platforms: YouTube, Twitch, Substack, beehiiv, Streamplace, and Bluecast. Paste any supported stream URL and your live badge will activate. No changes needed to existing Twitch setups.

YouTube tip: For YouTube, use youtube.com/@handle/live so viewers land directly on your stream rather than your channel page.

Fixed

Removed duplicate "End Stream" action: "End Stream on Bluesky" was identical to "Clear Live Status on Bluesky" and has been removed. Replace it with "Clear Live Status on Bluesky", same behaviour, cleaner implementation. Duplicate was due to developer error.
