Bonsai Lite

Bonsai Lite is the free edition of Bonsai. It puts one tree on your Stream Deck. Plant a seed and a bonsai unique to that seed grows in real time, for months and years, whether the deck is on or not.

ONE POT, ONE TREE — Choose a juniper, a Chinese elm or a Japanese maple. Every seed has a number, and no two numbers grow the same tree.

THE WORKBENCH — Tap the tree and the deck becomes its workbench: the tree across four keys, the tools beside it. Water soaks in for a real minute. Pruning takes five, and you choose what the tree becomes: denser, taller or more open. Turn it so that it grows evenly.

IT GROWS FROM THE CLOCK — A seedling in four days, a young tree in two months, a bonsai in about a year.

FOUR SEASONS — A tree's year is four weeks, one week a season, or the real seasons of your hemisphere.

NOTHING DIES, NOTHING NAGS — A neglected tree slows, runs wild and waits. One watering sets it going again. No currency, no streak, no score, no notification.

A JOURNAL — The tree's age, style and seed number, and a replay of its life.

THE FULL BONSAI ADDS — A tree in every pot, five more species (black pine, cherry, ginkgo, azalea, wisteria), and wiring, feeding and repotting. The tree in Lite is not carried over.
