Broadside

Two ships. One horizon. Whoever reads the wind wins.

It's dusk, the swell is picking up, and the other captain has your range. You drag back, watch the arc, and let go. Short, into the water. They fire back and your stern starts to smoke. Next shot you lead into the wind, and this time it lands. Fire breaks out on their deck, the hull settles, and a few turns later she slides under, stern first.

That's Broadside, a turn-based naval artillery duel for your XENEON EDGE.

How it plays

Aim like a slingshot. Drag back from your ship and let go, or set angle and power with the buttons and tap Fire.

Read the wind. It's shown in mph, blows at an angle, and shifts between turns.

Ride the sea. Choppy and stormy swells lift and tilt both ships, and you can steam forward or back on a tank of fuel.

Watch the damage. Smoke, then fire, then the hull sits lower in the water. Sink one and it goes down slow, with secondary explosions and a final gurgle.

Who you're fighting

The CPU at four levels, from Deckhand to Admiral. It brackets its shots like a real gunner, and Admiral reads the wind almost perfectly.

A friend, taking turns on the same screen with both names on the scoreboard.

Single round, best of 3 or best of 5. A match in progress picks up where you left it.

Where it fits

Play on a Large or Extra Large horizontal slot. Smaller and vertical slots run a live CPU-vs-CPU demo with your record, so the Edge never sits idle.
