Caffeinated

Keep the display awake, lock the screen, shut down or restart.

Caffeinated is a free Stream Deck plugin for macOS and Windows that keeps your display awake while you work, present or watch. It includes four actions: Caffeinated, Lock Screen, Restart and Shut Down, with clear icons and visual feedback.

Press Caffeinated to enable the display-awake function; animated coffee steam shows when it is active. Press again to turn it off and resume your normal idle display-sleep behavior. This works without moving the mouse.

Optional cursor movement is off by default. When enabled, the pointer moves one pixel after a random interval and returns after another random interval. Moving the mouse yourself cancels the return. Set the minimum and maximum intervals in settings; defaults are 30–120 seconds.

Lock Screen locks your session with one press. Unlock using your computer's normal sign-in method. Restart and Shut Down require a second press between 300 milliseconds and 5 seconds after the first; a blinking orange dot indicates the confirmation window.

Requires Stream Deck 7.1 or later, macOS 13 or later, or a Windows version supported by Stream Deck. On macOS, cursor movement and Lock Screen may need Accessibility permission; power actions may need Automation permission. Save your work before restarting or shutting down. Caffeinated does not bypass manual locking or enforced security policies.
