ContextDeck automatically changes your Stream Deck profile according to what you select in Windows, placing the right controls at your fingertips exactly when you need them.

Select some text and your Text profile appears. Select a file, folder, or image in Windows File Explorer and ContextDeck immediately activates the corresponding profile. Clear the selection and Stream Deck returns to the profile you were previously using.

The right profile for every context

ContextDeck recognizes four selection types:

Text selected inside compatible Windows applications

Files selected in Windows File Explorer

Folders selected in Windows File Explorer

Image files selected in Windows File Explorer

Each context has its own fully editable Stream Deck profile. You decide which actions, shortcuts, Multi Actions, plugins, folders, and controls should appear for every type of selection.

For example, your Text profile could contain Copy, Cut, Paste, Search, Translate, or formatting actions. Your File profile could provide Rename, Copy, Delete, Properties, and sharing shortcuts. Image and Folder profiles can be customized in exactly the same way.

Your profiles, your workflow

ContextDeck provides empty context profiles designed to be customized directly inside the Stream Deck application.

The plugin does not impose a predefined layout or install confusing actions. After installation, simply open each ContextDeck profile and add the controls that are useful for your workflow.

Profiles remain editable and your customizations are preserved when the plugin is updated.

ContextDeck runs continuously in the background and reacts whenever the Windows selection changes.

An optional ContextDeck Control action can also be added to any profile, allowing you to pause or resume automatic switching directly from a Stream Deck key.

Local by design

All selection detection happens locally on your Windows PC.

ContextDeck does not upload selected text, file contents, filenames, images, or personal information. No cloud service, online account, external server, or subscription is required.

Only the detected selection category is used to choose the appropriate Stream Deck profile.
