Evoto Controls

Overview

Version compatibility: version 1.3 has the original four-dial profile only. The dedicated 36-key/six-dial Stream Deck + XL layout requires version 1.5.1 or later. Check the available version before purchase.

Adjust Evoto with Stream Deck + or Stream Deck + XL. The separate bundled profiles provide four dials on +, or six dials and 36 assigned keys on + XL. Seven section buttons select Color, Person Mask, Background Mask, Female Retouch, Male Retouch, Clothes & Accessories, and Creative Effects. The touch strip shows adjustment names and values read from Evoto.

The XL layout uses four rows of nine keys: seven sections with Previous/Next; Color Groups 1–7 and Creative Groups 1–2; Person Groups 1–4, Background Groups 1–4 and Clothes Group 1; Female Groups 1–4, Male Groups 1–4 and Color Last. Direct group keys load a fixed six-slider group without advancing on repeated presses. If a requested group exceeds those available, the last available group is used.

Normal section keys open their first group, then advance a full group on repeated presses: four sliders on +, six on + XL, wrapping at the end. Color and both mask sections begin with Temp, Tint, Exposure, Contrast; XL adds Brightness and Highlights. Later groups follow Evoto's slider order. Portrait sections include sub-tabs and select the corresponding female or male group; clothing selects All.

Set Advance by to 1 slider on a normal section key for a sliding window: assignments shift left and the next slider fills the rightmost dial. Previous/Next follow the active section's step. Hold any normal section key for 3 seconds to refresh its control list and return to its first group; hold Color for 6 seconds for its last. The XL Color Last key provides a direct shortcut.

Turn a dial to adjust. By default, press and release it to assign the next slider in the current section to that dial only, wrapping without editing the photo. Choose Toggle Fine mode in dial settings for the alternative press action. Hold and turn for a larger step. Tap the strip to browse and assign a numeric control. Exposure defaults to 0.05 normally and 0.01 in Fine mode; integer controls retain a minimum step of 1.

Manually selected dial assignments, labels, step sizes, Fine preferences and press actions persist when returning from another app/profile and after restarting Stream Deck. Section/group/bank keys still deliberately load new assignments; saved Custom choices remain available. Devices keep separate assignments and section positions.

Existing users must select or import the matching bundled Evoto Controls or Evoto Controls XL profile; updates do not replace custom layouts. Re-importing may create another profile, so keep your customized layout. Fresh or refreshed Female/Male discovery waits for a stable control-target list and rejects scans interrupted by stale or unavailable controls. If it cannot stabilize, a retry message asks you to press the section key again. Disabled sliders retain their positions; incomplete groups leave blank dials. Re-select the matching section after manually changing Evoto panels or gender groups.

Requires Windows x64 and Stream Deck 7.6+. Original + supports Windows 10/11; + XL requires Windows 11. Tested with English Evoto 8.0 at C:\Program Files\Evoto\Evoto.exe, one instance and a photo open. Run both apps at the same privilege level. Physical XL hardware testing has not been performed.

Unofficial community integration, not endorsed by Evoto or Elgato. Runs locally without reading or uploading photo files. Supports available numeric UI controls, not every feature. Availability depends on the photo, panel and tools. Other languages, Evoto versions and macOS are unverified; Evoto UI changes may require updates.

Version 1.5.1 completes the Stream Deck + XL profile with 36 assigned keys in a 9-by-4 layout and all six dials. Adds fixed section-group shortcuts, Next navigation and Color Last. The original Stream Deck + profile is preserved.

Manually selected dial assignments and their labels, step sizes, Fine preferences and press actions now survive app/profile switches and Stream Deck restarts. Delayed section discovery cannot overwrite a newer manual selection or a profile that has reappeared.

Fresh/refresh Female/Male discovery waits for a stable control-target list and rejects scans interrupted by stale or unavailable controls. If it cannot stabilize, it asks you to press the section key again. Passive value polling is unchanged.

Default dial presses still cycle only that dial by one slider. Normal section presses still advance a full group: four on + or six on + XL. A 3-second section hold refreshes its control list and returns to the first group. Optional one-slider shifting, the Color 6-second last-group hold and Custom recall remain available. Direct group shortcuts load the requested group, clamped to the last available group.

Existing users: import/select Evoto Controls XL to get the new key layout; plugin updates do not replace your custom profiles. Requires Windows x64, Stream Deck 7.6+ and English Evoto 8.0. XL hardware requires Windows 11. Physical XL hardware testing has not been performed.
