IN-14 Nixie Clock

Overview

A photoreal IN-14 nixie tube clock with warm, flickering numerals, coloured underglow and an optional tubeless mode that turns the screen itself into the vacuum tube modelled on the classic Soviet IN-14 valve.

Each tube is drawn with photoreal domed glass, mica spacers, a honeycomb anode and every unlit cathode stacked behind the glowing digit, just like the real thing. The numerals glow a warm neon orange with a gentle, lifelike flicker, the old digit fades as the next one lights, and the separator lamps pulse once a second.

Underglow lights the tubes from below and spills onto the walnut base. Choose orange, red or blue to match your setup, or turn it off.

Tubeless mode hides the glass and base with a single switch, leaving only the glowing cathodes and their mesh floating on the screen. The XENEON EDGE itself becomes the vacuum tube.
