linearNotify

Your Linear inbox is always visible.

linearNotify displays your unread Linear notification count directly on a Stream Deck key, so you always know when something needs your attention without switching apps.

A quick glance tells you everything: how many inbox items are waiting, the latest issue involved, and how recently the data was updated.

KEY FEATURES

Unread notification counter A large number shows how many items are currently waiting in your Linear inbox.

Latest issue indicator The most recent issue identifier (for example ENG-42) appears as a badge at the top of the key.

Freshness timestamp A relative time label, such as "2 min ago", shows how recent the data is.

Accurate inbox grouping The count mirrors Linear’s own inbox behaviour. Multiple updates on the same issue count as one item, just like in the Linear app.

Automatic updates Notifications are fetched from the Linear API every 60 seconds and timestamps refresh every 30 seconds.

KEY STATES

Not signed in Displays a prompt to sign in via the plugin settings.

No notifications Shows a clean Linear logo when your inbox is empty.

Has notifications Displays the issue badge, unread count, and freshness timestamp.

Refreshing A relative time label, such as "2 min ago", shows how recent the data is. Shows an animated refresh indicator while data is updating.

INTERACTIONS

Tap: Open your Linear inbox in the browser.

Double-tap: Jump directly to the most recent issue.

Hold (2 seconds): Force an immediate refresh.

STREAM DECK + DIAL SUPPORT

Press or Touch Open the Linear inbox. Refresh notifications.

SETUP

Add the Inbox action to a Stream Deck key.

Open the key’s settings panel (Property Inspector).

Click “Sign in with Linear”.

Authorise access in your browser.

The plugin only requests read-only access to your Linear inbox.

PRIVACY

All data stays on your machine.

• No external servers • No analytics or tracking • OAuth tokens stored locally via Stream Deck settings • Notification data is kept only in memory while the plugin runs • No data shared with third parties

You can sign out at any time from the settings panel or revoke access from your Linear security settings.
