Live Cockpit for X-Plane 12
by GRAMSHIFT
Overview
Unlike hotkey profiles that only send key presses, the keys show your aircraft's real state in X-Plane 12 and switch it with X-Plane's own command, with nothing to install in X-Plane. Radios, engine gauges, electrical and anti-ice switches and warning lights join gear, flaps and autopilot.
Features
Radios: COM 1, COM 2 and NAV 1 with the active and standby frequency. Press to swap, or step the standby frequency. On Stream Deck +, turn the dial to tune (push and turn: 1 MHz), push or tap the strip to swap. 25 kHz or 8.33 kHz channels for COM
Engine gauges: RPM, N1, EGT, oil temperature and oil pressure per engine, as a number with a bar colored by the aircraft's own green and yellow arcs and red lines (RPM: its red line)
Switches: battery, avionics, pitot heat, window heat and, per engine, generator, fuel pump, inlet heat and propeller heat, each ON or OFF. Press to switch. A fuel pump on AUTO shows AUTO
Warning lights: master caution and master warning (press to clear), low voltage, low vacuum, low fuel, ice, stall, pitot heat off, fuel and oil pressure, oil temperature and generator off. Red for warning and stall, else amber
Landing Gear: a lamp per gear leg (up to three), green when down, red while moving, plus the gear lever. Press to raise or lower the gear
Flaps: the flap position with a bar and a mark for the lever. Keys for flaps down or up a notch
Autopilot: AP, HDG, ALT, NAV, APR and V/S keys, green when the mode holds and white when armed, with the selected value. Press for that mode
Lights: landing, taxi, strobe, beacon or nav lights, ON or OFF. Press to switch
Transponder: the squawk code and the mode. Press for standby or ALT, IDENT, or the next mode. 7500, 7600 and 7700 turn red
Speed Brake and Parking Brake: the state, press to toggle
Airspeed and ground speed; altitude and vertical speed; heading with the heading bug
Fuel on board and the time it lasts, orange then red at the warning time you choose
Next Waypoint: the GPS destination with its distance and time to go
Custom Key: send any X-Plane command, pressed once or held, and show any dataref as ON / OFF or a number
Keys follow X-Plane, also when you flip a switch with the mouse. A short white frame shows X-Plane took your press
Knots, km/h or mph; feet or meters; pounds or kilograms

Setup
Start X-Plane 12 and drag the keys onto your Stream Deck. They connect by themselves: no files to edit
Pick the radio, gauge, switch or light in a key's settings
The Status line in a key's settings shows whether X-Plane is found, its version and the aircraft loaded
Privacy
Talks only to X-Plane on the same computer. Nothing is sent over the internet.
Requirements
X-Plane 12.1.4 or later
Stream Deck app 6.9 or later on Windows 10 or later, or macOS 12 or later, on the same computer as X-Plane
Limitations
A key that shows a wrong state in your aircraft: tell us via the Support link
The keys use X-Plane's standard controls. Aircraft with their own systems (some add-on airliners) may not follow them; use the Custom Key with the aircraft's own commands
Temperatures show °C or °F as the aircraft reports them. A gauge the aircraft sets no range for shows the number only (N1: a plain bar)
Avionics switches the avionics master. In an aircraft without one (such as X-Plane's 737-800) the key shows avionics power only
If "Disable Incoming Traffic" is chosen in X-Plane's Network settings, the keys say API BLOCKED
The Parking Brake key also shows SET while you hold the brakes with X-Plane's hold-brakes key

New Engine Gauge key: RPM, N1, EGT, oil temperature or oil pressure of the engine you choose, with a bar in the aircraft's own green and yellow arcs and red lines (RPM shows the aircraft's red line). Temperatures show °C or °F as the aircraft sets them. New Switch key: battery, generator, avionics, fuel pump, pitot heat, window heat, engine inlet heat or propeller heat, ON or OFF. Generator, fuel pump, inlet heat and propeller heat are the engine you choose. Press to switch. A fuel pump on AUTO shows AUTO. New Warning Light key: master caution, master warning and other cockpit warning lights. Press the master caution or master warning key to clear it.
