Log Watcher for Windows

Watch a log file from a Stream Deck key on Windows, like tail -f: when a new line with an error appears, the key turns red and shows how many error lines there are. For build logs, backup logs, game server logs and your own scripts.

Features

Watch Log counts only lines added after you set up the key; lines already in the file are not counted

Error pattern (default error|fail|exception), optional success pattern (green) and ignore pattern; regular expressions, not case sensitive

Press to clear the count; hold the key to open the log file

Last Line: shows the latest line of a log, such as the progress of a copy, a build or a game server; press to open the file

A file, or a folder: the newest file whose name matches (for example *.log) is followed

A log that is overwritten on every run (cmd > build.log, robocopy /LOG:) is read again from its first line

A renamed or rotated log keeps its reading position; "No file" until the file appears

Keeps the count across Stream Deck app restarts

Reads while the writing program keeps the file open, if it allows reading; large writes are read in chunks

UTF-8, UTF-16 (with BOM) and Shift_JIS; English and Japanese

Privacy

Runs entirely on your PC. No account, no online service, no telemetry.

The log file is only read, never changed. Nothing is sent anywhere.
