Moon

Moon puts a real, accurately calculated Moon on one Stream Deck key. Its phase, terminator and surface are drawn from astronomy, not a generic moon icon: a bundled NASA LRO mosaic, a correct terminator, earthshine on the dark side, and a quiet, premium finish that looks right on a key.

The Moon is the interface. Use it with no overlay at all, or add illumination, phase name, lunar age, the next full or new moon, the next rise or set, or the current altitude and direction. The full edition adds three themes, observer or north-up orientation, tap and hold actions, and the Stream Deck Neo Infobar with overview, events, rise/set and auto-rotation.

Offline is the default: phase, illumination, age, principal phases, altitude, azimuth and rise/set are computed locally. Online is optional: turn it on and MoonScan adds the best time to watch tonight, using altitude, darkness and the local weather. Offline still works if MoonScan is unavailable; no account is needed.

Want to give it a try, get Moon Lite: one key, the realistic Moon, entirely offline. This here is the full Moon plugin, which adds the data overlays, location, themes, interactions, the Infobar and online data.

macOS 12+ and Windows 10+. No native helper, permission prompt or telemetry. Online sends only coarse coordinates, the time zone and an optional name to moonscan.com; offline makes no request. Surface: NASA / LRO / ASU, public domain. Astronomy: astronomy-engine, MIT.

First release.

A real, living Moon on one Stream Deck key: accurate phase, terminator, illumination and lunar age, drawn offline.

The Moon alone, or with illumination, phase name, age, next principal phase, next rise/set, or altitude.

Location-aware moonrise, moonset, altitude and direction.

Realistic, minimal and classic themes; observer and north-up orientation.

Configurable short and long press; a long press never also fires the short action.

Stream Deck Neo Infobar: overview, next full or new moon, rise/set, or the best time to watch, with auto-rotation.

Optional online mode: MoonScan's best viewing window with the local weather. Offline is the default and always works.

Bundled NASA LRO near-side surface; no account, no telemetry.

Moon Lite is the free edition with the realistic Moon only, entirely offline.
