Psst
Overview
Psst puts one-tap messages for your crew on your Stream Deck. Pick a line — "Play a round?", "Lobby is open", "Food?" — and it lands on your friend's Stream Deck. They answer with a single press: "Yes!", "In 5", "Can't". Nobody types, nobody alt-tabs, and nothing pops up over a game.
THE PSST KEY — Lives on the profile you already use. Quiet, it shows the mark and your status. When something arrives it shows who sent it, a count, and pulses with a soft chime. Tap it and your deck becomes the conversation, with the answers already on the keys. Answer, and your deck goes back to where you were on its own.
THE CONVERSATION — A Psst profile takes over every key on your deck while you talk: your friends with their status, your messages to pick from, and the thread itself, with bubbles that span keys. Every tick means something: a clock while it's sending, one tick when it's sent, two when it's delivered, ice blue once it's read — and three dots while they're answering.
ANSWERS, QUOTED — A reply arrives quoting what it answers. Tap Got it and a check lands on their bubble; hold it to say "wait". Sent the wrong thing? Unsend works until it has been read.
QUICK SEND — One line to one friend on one key, for the thing you ask every night. The key shows how it went.
YOUR STATUS — Available, In game, Away, Busy or DND, on its own key and on every friend's deck. Busy softens the chime; DND silences it. Mute a friend without removing them.
ON THE NEO'S INFOBAR — On a Stream Deck Neo, put Psst Infobar on the Infobar and a waiting message shows there: who wrote and what they said, taking turns when several people are waiting. Choose per Infobar whether it shows the message, only who sent it, or just a count, and what it shows the rest of the time: the clock, your crew, or your status.
NO ACCOUNT — Psst makes a key pair on your machine; its fingerprint is your ID, like PSST-7K3M-Q9XD. Share it however you like and add your friends' IDs. Messages only flow when both of you have added each other. Anyone else is dropped before they reach you, and removing someone is how you block them.
NOTHING IN BETWEEN — The relay that connects you holds live connections and nothing else: no storage, no message history, no queue, no log. If a friend is offline, your message waits on your own deck — for up to half an hour — and goes when they're back.
NOTHING BESIDE IT — No helper app to install, no Accessibility, Screen Recording, camera or microphone permission. Sounds are played by the audio tools your system already has. Just the plugin and one secure connection.
Every friend needs their own copy. Needs an internet connection. Works on any Stream Deck with keys — Mini, Neo, MK.2, XL and +, with a Psst profile for each — on macOS and Windows, with the Stream Deck app 7.1 or newer.
Two more Stream Decks
Psst now comes with a profile for the Stream Deck + XL and for Corsair's Galleon 100 SD, alongside the Mini, Neo, MK.2, XL and +.
On each of them, Psst fills every key the device has, as it does on the others.
Nothing else changes; your friends, messages and settings stay as they are.
