PULSE

Overview

PULSE watches the gateway, internet reachability, DNS, latency and packet loss, and when something breaks it isolates the likely cause and lists the observations behind it. Your own services are watched on their own keys, independent of overall network health.

LAYER BY LAYER — Gateway by ICMP, the internet by TCP to stable endpoints, DNS across unrelated domains. Each layer is checked on its own, so a failure has an address.

A DIAGNOSIS WITH EVIDENCE — Diagnose runs a guided check and names the likely cause with its confidence, and every verdict lists the observations it rests on.

YOUR SERVICES, APART — A TCP port or HTTPS URL of your own on its own key. Its outage never paints the whole network red.

Part of the OPS family: seven operations consoles with one design. On a Stream Deck Neo, its Infobar shows what is happening, or the verdict. No permission needed. ICMP to the gateway uses macOS's own ping. macOS 12+, Stream Deck 7.6+. Local only: no account, cloud service, telemetry or subscription.

First release: PULSE Core, Gateway, Internet, DNS, Latency, Service Watch, History and Diagnose, and an Infobar for the Stream Deck Neo, on the OPS design.

No permission needed. ICMP to the gateway uses macOS's own ping.
