Recordist

For people who take client calls on a Mac. One key starts and stops Recordist and shows a light and the time while it records; another marks the moment something is decided, so you can go back to it. Free; works with the free Recordist app.

Recordist keeps the record of your calls on your own computer, and no bot joins the call.

Actions

- Record: an amber light and the elapsed time while Recordist records. Press to start (Recordist asks first unless you allow it), press again to stop. A paused recording shows two grey bars.

- Mark moment: adds a marker to the recording in progress. Give each key its own label, such as Decision, Follow-up or Quote.

- Open app: opens Recordist, or its download page if it is not installed.

It asks first. If you have turned on "Allow agents to start recordings" in Recordist's settings, the key starts the recording. If not, it raises Recordist's own record card, and nothing records until you answer there. You can also choose to see the card every time.

Setup: in Recordist, open Settings, then Integrations, and choose Show pairing code. In Stream Deck, select a Recordist key, enter the 8 digits and press Pair with Recordist. Pairing takes a minute.

Privacy: the plugin records nothing and never hears the call. It talks only to the Recordist app on your computer, and keeps only the pairing and each key's settings.
