Rewindow
Overview
Rewindow saves the window layout of your whole Mac to a Stream Deck key and puts it back with one tap: every window, on every display, at its size and in its place. Apps you closed since are opened again. For anyone who works on a few fixed setups, such as coding, calls and writing.
Hold a key to save. Tap it to come back. Each key draws your own desk, with your screens, your windows and their app icons, and you watch the windows land as macOS moves them.
Plug a monitor in or out and nothing gets lost: a window from a missing display moves to one you still have, in proportion. Open apps are reused, never started twice. If an app cannot come back, the other windows still do and the key tells you how many are missing.
Arrange keys tidy the visible windows on each display. Smart keeps your biggest windows biggest, on the side they are already on, and shares out the rest. Columns and Grid are there too. Hold the key to undo.
On a Stream Deck Neo, the Infobar follows every step.
Requires macOS 12 or later, Stream Deck 7.6 or later, and Accessibility for Stream Deck, which macOS asks for on your first save. Rewindow sees the current Space on each display. Reopening an app does not bring back its documents or tabs. Nothing leaves your Mac: no account, no companion app, no data collected.
First release.
Saved Layout: hold to save your windows on all displays, tap to put them back.
Apps you closed are opened again, and only those. Open apps are reused.
If a display is gone, its windows move to one that is here.
Each key draws your own desk, with your displays, windows and app icons.
Windows glide into place on the key as macOS confirms each move.
Arrange: Smart keeps your biggest windows biggest; Columns and Grid; hold to undo.
An Infobar for the Stream Deck Neo follows every step.
