SecurePress
by Chromus
Overview
SecurePress adds Windows Hello authentication to Stream Deck so critical buttons only run after explicit user verification. Protect app launches, hotkeys, PowerShell, Batch and Python scripts, HTTP requests, text input, and multi-command sequences behind PIN, fingerprint, or face authentication.
Use SecurePress when a Stream Deck button can trigger something sensitive: opening admin tools, sending a webhook, pasting private text, running automation, or launching a workflow you do not want activated accidentally. Configure one Secure Action in the Property Inspector, choose the action type, fill in its settings, then press the key. The action runs only after Windows Hello succeeds.
Included action types:
- Execute programs with arguments and working directory.
- Trigger hotkeys with modifier keys.
- Run PowerShell, Batch, or Python scripts.
- Send HTTP requests with headers and body.
- Type or paste text, with optional Enter.
- Chain multiple commands in a protected sequence.
Sensitive fields such as script content, HTTP bodies, headers, text input, and command arguments are stored outside Stream Deck profiles with Windows DPAPI protection for the current Windows user. Stream Deck profiles keep references instead of raw sensitive values. You can require Windows Hello every time, or allow a short authenticated session.
Requirements: Windows 10 or Windows 11, Stream Deck 6.9 or newer, and Windows Hello configured with PIN, fingerprint, or facial recognition.
