Slack Connect

Overview

Slack Connect — Your Slack on the CORSAIR XENEON EDGE

What's new in your Slack at a glance while you work: unread channels and DMs with counts, the messages that mention you, and your status one tap away.

Sign in once with Slack in your browser. No password to type into the widget, no keys to paste. No Stream Deck required.

Key Features:

Everything In Your Workspace

Unreads: Channels, private channels, DMs and group DMs with something new, each with its count and the newest message. Show all of them, only DMs, only channels, or only DMs and mentions, newest first or most unread first.

Mentions: The messages that mention you, newest first, with who wrote them and where. New ones stand out.

Status: Your status from your own presets (an emoji, the words and how long it lasts), clear it, set yourself away or active, and pause notifications for 30 minutes, an hour or as long as you choose.

Quick Send: Pick a channel or a person, keep a few quick messages one tap away, and write anything else from the Write bar. A quick message asks before it goes, unless you turn that off.

Pinned Channels: Up to eight channels or people, each with its newest message.

Tap And Hold: Tap a row to open Slack right there. Hold it to write a message or to hide a noisy channel from the widget. Hidden channels are listed in the settings, with Show again.

Four Designs That Fit Any Tile

Inbox, Counter, Tiles and Rail: A clean list, one big number with the rest beside it, a grid of cards, or a strip where your conversations run along the Edge.

Every Size: From the smallest tile to the whole Edge, horizontal or vertical. Long lists scroll inside the tile.

Yours To Adjust: Text size, spacing, row pictures, counts, times, corners, which parts show, what a tap does, and your own colours.

One Widget, Several Jobs

Widget Types: Add Slack Connect more than once and give each copy a job in iCUE's widget settings: unreads on one, your status on another, quick messages to your team on a third.

Requires Qaem Hub (Free Companion App)

Qaem Hub: Slack Connect needs Qaem Hub, QaemDev's free companion app for Windows: qaemdev.com/products/qaem-hub. Its Slack Connect module holds your sign-in, encrypted on your PC. The widget never sees it, and only widgets you allow can use it.

Just This Module: Rather not install Qaem Hub? Get the Slack Connect Module, a small app with only this module inside: qaemdev.com/downloads/slack-connect-module-setup.exe. Qaem Hub takes it over, settings kept, if you install it later.

Looks After Itself: Qaem Hub runs quietly in the tray, starts with Windows and keeps itself up to date.

Requirements

CORSAIR iCUE 5.45 or newer with a XENEON EDGE, on Windows.

A Slack account. Your workspace's admins may need to approve the app first.

Notes

Slack limits apps outside its own Marketplace, so Slack Connect checks Slack about once a minute. Counts can lag Slack by that much; the widget shows when it last checked.

Slack doesn't tell apps which channels you muted. Hide them in the widget instead.

Disconnect any time in the widget or in Qaem Hub.

On iCUE 5.51 and newer, allow the widget to reach 127.0.0.1 in iCUE Settings, Widget Access, if iCUE asks.

Slack is a trademark of its owner. Slack Connect is not affiliated with or endorsed by Slack.
