ThreadDeck for Codex

ThreadDeck for Codex turns Stream Deck Neo into a local-first physical dashboard for Codex Desktop on macOS. See up to eight user-facing local tasks, explicitly pinned remote tasks, and Side Chats with live activity, queue counts, goal timing, reasoning effort, Fast mode, and completion pulses.

Tap a task to switch directly without moving the mouse. Hold a task key to dictate and submit a follow-up, or hold the dedicated microphone to leave a draft for review. Built-in controls cover new tasks, Side Chat, Send, Effort, Fast mode, media, apps, pages, and an optional weekly quota through CodexBar.

ThreadDeck includes an editable three-page Stream Deck Neo profile, English and Korean localization, and a universal Apple silicon and Intel helper. It reads local Codex metadata and uses a loopback-only renderer bridge when available. There is no ThreadDeck account, telemetry, cloud backend, or direct remote-host connection.

Setup requires macOS 13 or later, Stream Deck 7.4 or later, Stream Deck Neo, and Codex Desktop. In System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, turn on Elgato Stream Deck.app, then quit and reopen Stream Deck. Screen Recording, Input Monitoring, and Full Disk Access are not required. CodexBar is optional for weekly quota.

• Addressed Marketplace feedback: grouped task actions into one configurable Codex task action and New task, Side Chat, and Send into one Codex command action, both using the Property Inspector.

• Removed media, volume, app-launcher, and app-switch controls from the shipped two-page profile and Marketplace action list so the plugin stays focused on Codex.

• Preserved ThreadDeck light/dark Page navigation artwork while using the official profile-switch command; Previous and Next now work across arbitrary custom page counts.

• Added restart-free Micro controls, exact Effort selection, reliable Fast/microphone/submit targeting, and task-state delivery confirmation.

• Improved permission recovery, queue and Side Chat tracking, completion/voice animation pacing, and adaptive per-device frame budgets.

• Includes English and Korean UI and documentation.
