Time Machine Guardian
by Arturo
Overview
Backup confidence, one glance away.
Bring Time Machine to your Stream Deck. See when your last backup completed, follow the next copy as it happens, and take control with a single press. Time Machine Guardian keeps useful backup information right on your desk.
Four actions, one clear picture:
• Backup Status — follow the current phase, progress and estimated time remaining when macOS provides them.
• Last Backup — keep your last completed copy visible, even while a new backup is running.
• Start Backup — request a manual copy whenever you need one.
• Stop Backup — stop the current copy while preserving completed backups.
Spot overdue copies and disconnected local backup disks with clear visual indicators. Choose your warning interval, shared across every Guardian key. Open the inspector for copied-data details, Time Machine settings and a direct shortcut to Full Disk Access.
Runs locally on your Mac, with no additional accounts or cloud services.
Requires macOS 13.5+, Stream Deck 7.1+ and a configured Time Machine destination. Full Disk Access may be required for Stream Deck. Progress and estimates depend on information supplied by macOS.
