Volume+
Overview
Volume+ is a matching set of Stream Deck widgets: Volume, Microphone, Clock, Timer, and Stopwatch, all themed in one accent color you choose, so your whole page looks designed together. Every widget can also show live status badges for Caps Lock, Game Mode, and your wireless headset's battery. Works on dials and on regular keys, on Windows and macOS.
Why Volume+
- One color, every widget: pick an accent and the icons, text, bars, and badges all follow it. Give every widget the same color for a clean, matching layout, or color-code by device. Stream Deck's built-in widgets don't offer this.
- Status at a glance: see Caps Lock, Game Mode, and headset battery right on the widgets you already use, without spending a key on each.
- Made for keyboards with a built-in Stream Deck: on the Corsair Galleon 100 SD, the Caps Lock light disappears once Stream Deck takes over the display. Volume+ puts it back, and replaces Elgato's Volume Controller at the same time. It's just as much at home on a Stream Deck + or any Stream Deck with keys.
What's included
- Volume: a full Volume Controller replacement. Turn the dial to adjust any output device by a step you set (1-5% per tick); press or tap to mute. Speaker icon, large percentage readout, and a colored bar.
- Microphone: the same control for your input device. A quick mute you can actually see.
- Clock: ten faces, from big digital and classic analog to a flip clock, a day-progress ring, and three LED styles (7-segment, 14-segment, and dot matrix) where the unlit segments glow faintly in your color. 12- or 24-hour, seconds, date formats, and any time zone with the city as a caption. Turn the dial to cycle faces.
- Timer: turn the dial to set the time, press to start or pause, hold to reset. When it runs out, the display flashes and an alarm plays: a built-in Windows or macOS sound, or your own MP3 or WAV. It keeps counting while you're on another page.
- Stopwatch: press or tap to start and pause; turn the dial while paused (or hold a key) to reset. It keeps counting on another page.
- In your language: Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, following Stream Deck's language. Machine-drafted, so native speakers are welcome to correct them on the repo.
- Status badges: Caps Lock shows a filled "A" when on. Game Mode can be Auto (shows when a Corsair "Game Mode" action is on your profile), Always, or Off. The headset badge shows your wireless headset's charge, detected automatically; it works today with the SteelSeries Arctis 7 and Arctis Pro, with more models being added.
- Transparent or solid backgrounds, so a key's own image can show through.
How it works
Volume+ talks to the system's own audio APIs directly for output and input volume. No bundled driver, no background service, no separate app. Caps Lock is read the way any app reads keyboard state, not by intercepting input. The Game Mode badge reads the on/off state of a Corsair "Game Mode" action already on a Stream Deck page. The headset badge sends one small message to the headset's own USB dongle; nothing is ever written to your keyboard.
Requirements
Windows 10 or later, or macOS 12 or later. Works with any Stream Deck device (Stream Deck, +, MK.2, XL, Neo, and keyboards with a built-in Stream Deck): dials where there are dials, key images everywhere else. The headset battery badge is Windows only for now, and only wireless headsets on their own USB dongle report battery. One-time purchase.
In development (free updates)
- Headset battery on macOS, and more headsets: Corsair, SteelSeries Nova, and HyperX wireless owners, the repo has an open call for testers.
- More clock faces and a Date widget.
- Per-app volume with each app's own icon.

A new Stopwatch widget, and Volume+ now speaks seven more languages. Free for existing owners.
- New Stopwatch widget: press or tap to start and pause. On a dial, turn the knob while it's paused to reset; on a key, hold to reset. It shows minutes and seconds with a bar that fills every minute, and keeps counting while you're on another Stream Deck page.
- Volume+ now follows your Stream Deck language: Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). These translations are machine-drafted, so if something reads wrong, please tell us: github.com/smcneece/volume-plus/tree/main/translations
