VPN Switch for Windows

Overview

Turn your VPN on or off from one Stream Deck key on Windows and see whether your VPN is on. Works with Tailscale, WireGuard, OpenVPN and Windows VPN connections. A status key shows whether a VPN adapter is on, and a key turns red if your VPN drops. Check your VPN connection status at a glance.

Two keys

VPN Switch: press to connect or disconnect, or set it to do only one

VPN Status: on or off for VPNs it recognizes, or for the VPN adapter you pick

Dropped: the key turns red when your VPN goes off without a press (optional)

Five looks

Setup

Tailscale: its app running, logged in

WireGuard: the tunnel's name, and one Windows admin Yes per tunnel

Windows VPN: press Connect in the window Windows opens

OpenVPN: OpenVPN GUI running, and your config's name; off disconnects all its connections

Privacy No account. It reads this PC's network adapters and asks your VPN app to connect. It never sees your passwords or traffic and sends nothing to us.

Good to know

Windows 10 or later, Stream Deck 6.9 or later

A VPN must be set up first (no VPN service included)

ON means the adapter is up, not that the server answers

First release with two keys. VPN Switch connects or disconnects Tailscale, WireGuard, OpenVPN or a Windows VPN connection and shows ON or OFF. VPN Status shows on or off for VPNs it recognizes, or for the VPN adapter you pick. Both can turn red when a VPN drops. Five looks. English and Japanese.
