Whimsy Notes gives you a colourful, touch-friendly place for shopping lists, quick reminders, project ideas, family notes and anything else you want to keep visible. Type a note, turn a photo into a checklist, add a picture or write by hand directly on the display.

See what matters

Choose a colour and category for each note, pin important cards to the top and use search or filters when your board starts filling up. Long notes and checklists scroll inside their cards, so you can read everything without leaving the board. Tap a card whenever you want to open the full editor.

Turn photos into checklists

Have a list in another app, on paper or inside a PDF? Choose a screenshot, photograph or PDF and Whimsy Notes will turn the words into an editable checklist. It recognises common checkboxes, bullets and numbered lists, and keeps wrapped sentences together. Results remain editable, so you can make any final corrections before using the list.

Bring your notes with you

Import notes from common text files and exports from services including Google Keep and Evernote. Compatible Notion and Google Takeout archives are also supported. You can export a backup whenever you want an extra copy of everything on your board.

Make it yours

Choose from three complete looks. Original is bright and fresh, Romantic uses soft pastels, and Gothic combines deep blacks with dramatic reds. Every interface and note colour can be adjusted, and you can change the background transparency to suit your setup.

Helpful reminders

Add a date and time to any note. When it is due, dismiss it or snooze it for five minutes. Reminders stay on your local computer and require iCUE and the widget to be running.

Private by design

Your notes and selected files stay on your computer. Whimsy Notes requires no account, subscription or internet connection. Photo and PDF reading happens locally and nothing is sent to Wicked Whimsy Workshop or another service.
