Autodesk Revit Shortcut Profile
by Adx.cool
Overview
The complete Revit keyboard shortcut pack for Stream Deck.
86 shortcuts across 12 categories — organized, scored by importance, and ready to install on Stream Deck XL. Stop memorizing key combos. One tap, one action.
What's included:
• Modify (14) • Architecture (10) • Visibility (10) • Snaps (10) • Annotate (8) • Navigation (8) • View (7) • Structure (5) • Groups (5) • File & Edit (5) • Manage (3) • Help (1)
Features: • Every two-letter Revit shortcut sent as a real keystroke pair, not typed text • The whole snap family on its own folder — centers, endpoints, midpoints, tangents • The view control bar: hide, isolate, reveal hidden, and back again • Every binding traced to Autodesk's own published shortcut reference • A distinct icon on all 86 keys
Install: double-click any .streamDeckProfile to import. The App binding is pre-filled to Revit — auto-activates on focus. If it didn't pre-fill, set it manually under Stream Deck → Preferences → Profiles → App.

Setup (required for some keys)
Windows only. Revit has no macOS build, so there is no Mac profile to ship.
Revit shortcuts are keystroke pairs, not combinations. Pressing WA means W then A, with no Enter — that is Revit’s own design. Each key here sends the two presses in sequence. If a shortcut does not fire, check that the drawing area has focus and no command is already running: press Esc first, which is on the File & Edit folder.
A few letters mean different things on different ribbon tabs. Autodesk’s own reference lists RA, RC, PC and EW twice, with two different commands each. Those four are deliberately left out rather than shipped as a coin toss — a deck cannot know which tab you are on.
The MEP and Analyze tabs are not included. Ducts, pipes, cable trays, loads and panel schedules belong to a different job and would push this profile past 110 keys. They are planned as their own preset.
First release. 86 bindings across eleven groups: Architecture, Structure, Modify, Annotate, View, Visibility, Navigation, Snaps, Groups, Manage and File & Edit.
81 of the 86 are two-key sequences. A Revit shortcut is not a modifier combination — you press W then A for Wall, with no Enter — so each one is emitted as a chord of two real keystrokes rather than as typed text, which is what Revit actually listens for.
Every binding is traced to Autodesk's own published shortcut reference and cross-checked against an independent 2026 reference. One disagreement is recorded rather than resolved by guess: Reveal Hidden Elements is RH per Autodesk, where the third-party reference gives EOH.
Four keys that Autodesk's table lists twice with different commands — RA, RC, PC and EW — are left out. They depend on which ribbon tab is active, and a deck key cannot know that.
Windows only. Revit has no macOS build.
