Lucky Deck
Overview
Lucky Deck is a classic fruit machine that takes over your whole Stream Deck. The reels are on the upper keys, the buttons along the bottom row, and when the sevens line up, every key joins the show. It is free, and it is played with play credits only: nothing in it can be bought, won or cashed out.
EVERY KEY HAS A JOB — One rule fits every deck. The bottom row is the button panel, as on a real machine: credits, bet, auto, spin. The rows above it are the reel window, each column of keys a reel. Three reels and one line on a Mini, four reels on a Neo, five reels and four lines on an MK.2, five reels and five lines on an XL, where the spare columns become the paytable and lit signs. Any reel key spins, too.
CHERRIES, BELLS, BARS AND SEVENS — Ten symbols, the way a fruit machine has always had them. A line pays for a run of one symbol from the left, and a full line pays most. The diamond is wild. Three stars anywhere start ten free spins in which every win is doubled.
WHEN YOU WIN, YOU KNOW — Winning symbols get a flickering gold frame and your credits count up coin by coin. A big win sends coins falling across the whole deck. Two sevens down and the remaining reels are held back a second before they land. And the jackpot, a full line of sevens: a strobe, a red and gold sunburst turning across every key, JACKPOT walking across the keys a letter at a time, coins raining and bells ringing.
A BANK THAT NEVER RUNS DRY — You start with 1,000 credits and five bets from 10 to 250. Credits never go below zero: if the bank cannot cover your bet, the bet comes down, and at nothing one tap puts 1,000 back. Hold the credits key for a fresh game. Your best bank and your top win are kept and shown on the deck.
AUTO PLAY — 10, 25, 50 or endless spins, stopping by itself on a jackpot or an empty bank. Left alone for a minute, the machine spins for show now and then, silently: those spins stake nothing and pay nothing.
IT SOUNDS LIKE ONE — The reels whirr for exactly as long as they turn, each lands with a click, coins ping during the count-up, and the jackpot gets a fanfare. Every sound is synthesised for Lucky Deck, and one switch turns them all off. A turbo mode shortens everything.
THE INFOBAR IS THE SIGN — On a Stream Deck Neo, put Infobar on the Infobar: a ticker of the jackpot and your records at rest, credits and bet while you play, and the win in lights.
HONEST ODDS — The reels are fixed strips and every spin is a fair draw from them. Each deck layout was tuned over three million simulated spins to return about 97% of what is staked.
PLAY CREDITS ONLY — No real money, no purchases, no prizes, no ads, no account, no network. Credits are a number on your own computer and are worth nothing anywhere else. Lucky Deck is a toy, not a way to gamble.
macOS 12 or newer and Windows 10 or newer, with the Stream Deck app 7.6 or newer. Give it a page of its own: at least three keys across and two rows. The Infobar action needs a Stream Deck Neo.
Auto that runs until you stop it
One tap on AUTO now starts endless play. The machine keeps spinning for as long as you leave it: it plays through jackpots, and when the bank is empty it refills it and carries on.
More taps on AUTO give 10, 25 or 50 spins, then off. These still stop by themselves on a jackpot or an empty bank.
AUTO can be changed while the reels are turning. Before, a second tap stopped the run, so in practice only 10 spins could be chosen.
SPIN, or any reel, stops auto. It says STOP while auto runs.
