Turns your Stream Deck into a controller for the three mini-games hidden inside Codex Desktop: Asteroids, Snake, and Brick Breaker.

How to use it. Put Launch Micro Arcade on any key. Press it and the deck switches to the Micro Arcade profile. Press Insert coin: the plugin attaches to Codex Desktop, replays the app own circling gesture, and a game starts - the app picks which one. Steer with the four arrow keys, and hold two adjacent keys for a diagonal. Fire works in Asteroids only. The plug key disconnects and returns you to the profile you came from.

If Codex Desktop is not running, the plugin starts it. If it is running but unreachable, the key reads Restart Codex? - press again within five seconds to restart the app, or wait and the coin comes back.

There is no way to end a game from the deck. You finish by losing, or by leaving the composer.

Eight actions

Launch Micro Arcade — switches the deck to the Micro Arcade profile. This is the only key you place by hand.

Insert coin — attaches to Codex Desktop and starts a game. The app picks which one.

Up, Down, Left, Right — steer. Hold two adjacent keys for a diagonal; eight directions come out of four keys.

Fire — Asteroids only.

A profile, ready to use

The plugin installs a Micro Arcade profile laid out for play — steering cluster low-left, coin and fire in the far column, the plug diagonally opposite fire. It does not switch your deck on install; the launch key does that when you want it.

Starting the app

If Codex Desktop is not running, Insert coin starts it. If it is running but cannot be reached, the key reads "Restart Codex?" — press again within five seconds to restart it, or wait and the coin comes back.

Known limits

Codex surface only. The mini-games live on the Codex surface; the keys do nothing on a ChatGPT tab.
