Lighting
Nanoleaf LAN
Overview
Nanoleaf LAN gives you fast, direct control of compatible Nanoleaf Essentials Wi-Fi lights from your Stream Deck. Control power, brightness, colour and colour temperature over your local network, without requiring Home Assistant, Homebridge or a cloud service.
Nanoleaf LAN discovers compatible lights on your network and lets you pair them directly with the plugin. Once paired, simply drag an action onto your Stream Deck, select one or more lights, and configure exactly what you want them to do.
Features
Turn individual lights or groups of lights on and off
Choose any colour using the built-in colour picker
Set brightness for each action
Set white colour temperature
Control multiple Nanoleaf lights from a single Stream Deck key
Configure each light individually when controlling multiple lights
Automatically discover compatible Nanoleaf lights on your local network
Pair and manage lights directly from the Stream Deck property inspector
Direct local-network control for fast response without a cloud service
Requirements
Nanoleaf LAN uses the local OpenAPI available on supported Nanoleaf Essentials Matter over Wi-Fi devices. It does not currently support Matter over Thread Essentials devices.
Tested with:
Nanoleaf Essentials A19/A60 NL75 / NL75K1
Firmware 4.0.12
Other Matter over Wi-Fi Essentials models that expose the same Nanoleaf OpenAPI may also work, but should be considered unverified unless listed above.
Getting Started
First, make sure your Nanoleaf light has been fully set up in the Nanoleaf app and is running supported firmware.
In the Nanoleaf app, open the light's settings and select Connect to API. You then have approximately 30 seconds to press Pair for that light in the Nanoleaf LAN settings in Stream Deck.
Once paired, the light appears in the available lights list and can be selected when configuring your Stream Deck actions. Pairing only needs to be completed once for each light.

Release notes
- Fixed Set Color not turning a bulb off on a second press. The toggle now
tolerates small rounding differences between the requested and reported
brightness, hue, saturation, and color temperature instead of requiring an
exact match.
- Improved Color Cycle power-on behavior. After a long press turns a light off,
the next short press now restores the last active color without advancing the
cycle. A second short press advances to the next configured color as expected.
- Improved Color Cycle state synchronization. When Stream Deck starts or
refreshes, the key icon now reads the light's current hue and saturation and
displays the matching color. The cycle position is also aligned so the next
press advances from the light's actual color. This includes corrected hue
conversion for red, green, blue, and intermediate colors.
