ZapSnip Plus

ZapSnip Plus adds three fast capture actions to Stream Deck on Windows: snip any screen area to a PNG, copy text from anywhere on your screen using OCR, and pin a screen area to a key so one press captures it again. Results go straight to your clipboard. ACTIONS

• Snip Screen: drag an area. It is saved as a PNG and copied as an image.

• Snip Text: drag over text. It is read with Windows OCR and copied as plain text. Nothing is saved to disk.

• Pinned Region: pin an area to a key, then capture exactly that area with one press, as an image or as text.

HOW TO SET UP

1. Drag an action from the ZapSnip Plus category onto a key.

2. Snip Screen and Snip Text: press the key and drag over the area.

3. Pinned Region: press the empty key once and drag the area to pin. It is captured right away, and every later press captures it again.

4. To pin a new area, hold the key for half a second, or use Select region in the key settings. Double press is also available in the settings.

5. Optional: choose a Save folder (default Pictures\ZapSnip), turn the key preview on or off, or enter an OCR language code such as sv-SE for Snip Text. TIP If you rearrange your monitors, pin the region again.

• An OCR language installed in Windows for Snip Text (most installs include one)

What’s included

Snip Screen: drag over any area, on any monitor. It is saved as a PNG and copied to the clipboard.

Snip Text: drag over any text on screen and it is read and copied as plain text, using the OCR languages installed in Windows.

Pinned Region: pin a screen area to a key and capture it with one press, no dragging. Hold the key to choose a new area, or switch to double press in the key’s settings.

Live preview: see what you captured right on the key for a moment, or turn it off for the classic green check.

Esc or right click cancels at any time, and you choose your own save folder.
