Description

Next Task gets your task list off your screen and onto your keys, so you can close the window you keep open just to see what's next. It works with Todoist, using your own account. The key shows the task itself — its name, project colour, priority and when it's due. Press to step through the list, hold to tick one off. It's on the desk in front of you, not behind another window.

What you can put on a key:

• Next Task — steps through any Todoist filter, one press at a time, and completes on a hold with a few seconds to undo

• New Task — opens Todoist's quick add to capture a thought, or creates a preset task outright for the things you raise every week

• Task Count — how many match a filter, split into overdue, due today and later

• Daily Progress — a ring filling towards your Todoist daily goal

• Goals — daily and weekly completion as progress bars

Every key runs one of your own Todoist filters — today | overdue, @errand & p1, anything you'd type into the app's filter bar — with five sort orders deciding what you see first.

Tasks with a due time show that time and shade amber then red as it nears, with an optional chime. On a Stream Deck+ dial, rotate to scroll, push to complete, tap to capture.

Requirements: macOS 12 or later, Stream Deck 6.9 or later, and a Todoist account. You paste a Todoist API token (Settings → Integrations → Developer) once; every key shares it.
