Screen FX

Screen FX puts 26 effects and live tools right over your Mac screen, on a Stream Deck keypress. It draws on your real screen, so it works anywhere: streams, Zoom, Meet and Teams calls, conferences, classes, presentations and recorded videos. No extra app, nothing to set up in OBS.

Every effect can be customized: depending on the effect, size, colors, intensity, duration, sound, volume and which screen it shows on. Many come in several styles: confetti cannons, a burst, rain or fireworks; flamethrowers or columns of fire; hearts that rain or float up; a countdown, stopwatch or clock. Each key keeps its own settings, so you can set up the same effect in different ways.

FOR STREAMS AND FUN • Confetti, Fire, Pyrotechnics, Money, Hearts, Balloons, Smoke and Flash • Reactions, Party, Drumroll reveal, Cracked Screen, Critters and a GAME OVER sign • Applause and Laughs: a studio audience with a neon sign • Prize Wheel and 3D Dice to pick someone or something at random • Clay Shooting: a game you play with your mouse

FOR CALLS, CLASSES AND PRESENTATIONS • Spotlight, Draw on Screen and Click Highlighter • Timer, Goal Bar, Privacy Curtain and Ad Pop-up with your own image

The timer and the goal bar buttons can show only on your screen, hidden from the call and the recording.

Version 1.2: Screen FX now runs on Windows too.

NEW

- Windows 10 and 11: the same 26 actions as on Mac, with the same settings.

FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS

- Smoother effects on Mac: pyrotechnics, fire, smoke and balloons now run at a steady 60 frames per second, even with many keypresses in a row.

- Effects no longer stutter when Stream Deck runs in the background.

- Timers and other clock-based effects keep the right time when the computer is busy.

- Prize Wheel: one tick per peg even when it spins fast, and it no longer flashes the last spin when it reappears.
