Bitwarden Tools
by TheJoeIaut
Overview
Bitwarden Tools brings your Bitwarden password vault to Elgato Stream Deck, letting you unlock or lock your vault, type usernames, passwords and TOTP codes, fill login forms, and generate secure passwords or passphrases with a single key press. It works through the official Bitwarden CLI and supports Bitwarden, Vaultwarden and other CLI-compatible servers.
Use Stream Deck actions to:
Unlock and lock your Bitwarden vault
Type a username, password, TOTP code, or username + password into the currently focused application
Search and select items from your vault
Generate configurable passwords and passphrases
Type generated credentials, copy them to the clipboard, or do both
Requirements: Windows, and the Bitwarden CLI (bw) installed, configured and available on your system PATH. The Marketplace release is self-contained and does not require a separate .NET installation.
Bitwarden Tools is an unofficial plugin and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Bitwarden.
New
Sync Vault action. Pulls changes made on another device down into the CLI's local copy, so the item picker and the Get action see them. Optionally puts the time of the last sync on the key.
Fixed
Keys configured with the 2.0 item picker only worked while the vault list was loaded. The picker stored the label it shows - GitHub (octocat) - and looked the entry's id up in the list fetched by Load. The property inspector drops that list from the action's settings the moment anything is typed, so it was gone by the next Stream Deck start and the key asked the CLI for an item literally named GitHub (octocat), which matched nothing. The entry's id is now stored beside its label and survives on its own. Keys already configured this way repair themselves: the first press after updating looks the label up once and remembers what it found.
