Easy Link

Easy Link gives any app its own Stream Deck profile with one key press, then switches profiles automatically as you change apps. It works where Smart Profiles cannot: websites, installed web apps and Windows Store apps. No setup, no lists, no settings safari.

ONE SETUP STEP

When Stream Deck asks to install the profiles right after you install Easy Link, click Cancel. Easy Link creates each profile for you, one per app, named after the app, as you link them. If you clicked Install, delete the Easy Link profiles in the Stream Deck app to free them.

Hold the Easy Link key while an app is in front. Easy Link claims a spare profile, names it after that app, and switches to it. After that your deck follows you: bring the app forward and its profile comes up, leave it and your previous profile comes back.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Drop the Easy Link key anywhere on your deck.

2. Bring the app you want to link to the front.

3. Hold the key. Easy Link claims a spare profile, renames it to the app, and takes you there.

4. Fill that profile with whatever you like: hotkey plugins, folders, multi actions, anything.

The link is made from the window that was in front when you pressed. That is the whole setup.

ALREADY USING SMART PROFILES?

The Stream Deck app can tie a profile to a program in its settings, and for a plain desktop program it does the job. Easy Link starts where that path stops. Smart Profiles cannot see Windows Store apps, cannot tell one website from another, and treat an installed web app as just more browser. Easy Link handles all three, makes the link with one press instead of a trip through settings, and names the profile for you. Hold a key once and you will not go back to the dropdown.

FOUR KINDS OF APP, TOLD APART

A link points at the thing you meant:

- Websites, matched on the site rather than the page, so every tab on that site brings the profile up.

- Installed web apps, which link as themselves rather than as the whole browser. Link a Chrome web app and it stays separate from Chrome.

- Windows Store apps.

- Ordinary Windows programs.

A profile is named after the app it matches, never after the document that happened to be open when you pressed.

WHAT YOU GET

Link up to 12 apps per deck type: 12 profiles for the 15-key Stream Deck and 12 more for the Stream Deck +. Profiles are shared by every deck of that kind. Nothing is installed until you use it: a profile only appears on your deck when you link an app to it.

MANAGING YOUR LINKS

The property inspector lists every link with its live state, shows how many profiles are free on each deck type, and names the ones being held. When every profile for a deck type is taken, the key refuses the press rather than overwrite a link. Removing a link takes two clicks on purpose, and the second click tells you exactly what it costs. Removing a link does not free the profile it installed. To get that profile back, delete it in the Stream Deck app and Easy Link picks the space back up on its own.

SOUNDS

Every capture can play a sound: three bundled clips for lock, fail, and clear, or silence if you prefer. Pairs with our free Sound Sampler plugin, so anything you record on your PC shows up in the picker under "Your recordings".

PAIRS WITH OUR HOTKEY LINE

We make hotkey plugins for creative and engineering apps: GIMP, KiCad, Obsidian, OrcaSlicer, Inkscape, LightBurn and more. Link an app with Easy Link, drop its hotkey plugin into the profile, and the full control surface arrives the moment the app does.

SUPPORTED DECKS

The 15-key Stream Deck and the Stream Deck +. The XL, Mini, Neo, Pedal and Mobile are not supported yet, and the key will refuse to link on them rather than fail quietly.

REQUIREMENTS

Windows 10 or later. Stream Deck software 6.9 or newer.
