Monitoring
Silent Mode Coach
by Raylight
Overview
Silent Mode Coach tells you how hard your fans are working and why. It ranks every fan iCUE can read by how close it is to its top speed, gives an overall level (Quiet, Moderate or Loud), and explains the cause in plain words: your graphics card is busy, your processor is busy, things are warm, or your fans are loud while your PC is barely working.
That last one is the useful one. Loud at idle usually means a fan curve that's too aggressive. The coach also counts how often your fans spin up in an hour, because constant ramping usually means the curve needs a longer delay.
Features
Every fan ranked by how hard it's working
One overall level: Quiet, Moderate or Loud
A plain-words reason for the noise
Flags fans that are loud while your PC is idle
Spots fans stuck at one speed whatever your PC is doing
Spin-ups counted over the last hour, with a chart
Pumps listed separately and left out of the score; tap a fan twice to mark it as a pump
Requires Windows, iCUE 5.47 or later and a CORSAIR XENEON EDGE, with fans or a cooler that report their speed to iCUE. It learns each fan's top speed over time, so the first readings are estimates. An AIO pump plugged into a motherboard fan header reports like a fan; if one runs at one steady speed, the coach says so and asks, and a pump you mark is remembered.
