Activity Stats
by Corsair
Overview
Activity Stats is a real time mouse and keyboard activity tracker for the CORSAIR XENEON EDGE. It displays live click counts, clicks per second, key presses, keys-per-minute, your most used keys, and an animated trail of recent mouse movement, all on your XENEON EDGE's dashboard display.
How it works?
A lightweight background tool reads your mouse and keyboard input and writes live stats to a file on your own PC. The widget reads that file and updates in real time. Sections, mouse trail duration, product artwork, and colors/background can all be customized from the widget's settings panel in iCUE.
Privacy: All activity data stays on your PC. It's written to a single local file (C:\Users\Public\xeneon_stats.json) and read directly by the widget — nothing is sent over the internet, and there is no account, cloud sync, or telemetry involved. When you hit pause (from the widget or the app), input capture stops completely at the source: no keystrokes or clicks are read, processed, or logged until you resume.
What is included?
• Live keyboard stats: total key presses, keys-per-minute (live and average), top 5 most used keys
• Live mouse stats: total clicks, clicks per second (live and average), estimated distance traveled
• Animated mouse movement trail with adjustable duration (live view, or a fixed 1 to 30 minute window)
• Adjustable Mouse DPI setting for more accurate distance calculation
• Pause/resume tracking and one click session reset directly from the widget
• Toggle mouse and keyboard sections independently, on any slot size
• Toggleable keyboard and mouse product artwork backgrounds
• Full personalization: text, accent, and background color, background image or video, transparency
Note: Distance traveled is an approximation, not an exact measurement. It's calculated from an assumed mouse DPI (800 by default, a common gaming mouse value) since your mouse's actual DPI can't be read directly. Enter your mouse's real DPI in the widget's settings for a more accurate reading.
Setup
1. Run ActivityCapture.exe once. Since it's unsigned, Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" — click More info, then Run anyway.
2. To make it start automatically at every login: Press Win+R, type shell:startup, and press Enter. Copy ActivityCapture.exe into the folder that opens. Windows will launch it silently in the background every time you log in.
3. In iCUE, go to Devices → XENEON EDGE → Widgets → + → Import Widget, select activity-stats.icuewidget, and drop it onto a slot.
To remove auto-start: Press Win+R, type shell:startup, and delete ActivityCapture.exe from that folder.
Your stats file (C:\Users\Public\xeneon_stats.json) is left in place when you remove it — delete it manually if you want it gone too.
Why isn't it working?
ActivityCapture.exe disappeared after extracting the folder
Some antivirus software automatically quarantines or deletes unsigned executables. Check your antivirus's quarantine list and restore/allow the file if it's there.
The widget shows no data at all
Make sure ActivityCapture.exe is running — the widget only has data to display after C:\Users\Public\xeneon_stats.json has been created. You can confirm it's running by checking Task Manager for ActivityCapture.exe.
How to tell if the app itself is working
Check whether C:\Users\Public\xeneon_stats.json exists and is being updated while ActivityCapture.exe is running. If it is, the app is working correctly and the issue is with the widget or iCUE setup.
