Overview

Crypto Price is a real-time cryptocurrency tracking widget designed for iCUE LCD devices. Track up to three cryptocurrencies with live price quotes, daily performance, and official coin logos.

iCUE Mode Required: These iCUE widgets are only available when the keyboard is running in iCUE mode with iCUE open. Widgets can not be saved to or used in Device Memory Mode (hardware mode).

iCUE Version Requirement for Widget Availability: iCUE version 5.47 or later is required to use the widgets. We recommend always updating to the latest version of iCUE for the best experience.

Wired Connection Required: To use iCUE widgets, connect the keyboard to your PC with a USB cable and use the keyboard in wired mode.

Enable Screen Widgets for Dial Control for Vanguard 96 series: In iCUE, go to the Rotary Dial tab, enable Screen Widget, and select it as the dial function. Once enabled, you can use the rotary dial to switch between widgets and interact with supported widget functions.

Switching Between Widgets

You can switch between widgets using the following controls:

Vanguard 96 / Vanguard 96 Wireless / Vanguard PRO 96: Press FN + Left/Right Arrow, or turn the dial.

Vanguard AIR 99 WL: Press FN + Left/Right Arrow.

How It Works

The widget fetches live 24-hour ticker data from the Binance API every 10 seconds, then calculates current USD prices and percentage changes. Gains and losses are color-coded (green for positive, red for negative). Coin logos load through a fallback hierarchy: scalable SVGs or high-resolution PNGs from a multi-coin CDN, with an automatic Wikipedia REST API fallback for less common coins. If the network is disrupted, built-in backoff logic automatically slows the refresh rate to keep the widget stable.

Getting Started

No API key is required. Open the widget settings in iCUE to set up your display. Under Crypto Settings, select up to three cryptocurrencies from a catalog of over 90 tokens (including BTC, ETH, SOL, DOGE, and popular DeFi and meme coins). Open Personalization to match the background color to your setup.

Attribution

Cryptocurrency market data is sourced from the Binance Public API. Coin icons and thumbnails are retrieved via the Crypto Icons CDN and Wikipedia API. Binance is a registered trademark of Binance Holdings Ltd.
