Overview
Media Server Deck
Every stream on every server, on your Stream Deck. Plex, Jellyfin and Emby: who is watching what, what is transcoding and why, library counts, scheduled tasks and the newest arrival, for up to three servers at once. It talks to each server's own API with a token you give it, and installs nothing on the server.
Now playing, one key per stream
The title and episode, a bar of how far in, the time, and who is watching on which device.
Direct, remux or transcode, and the reason for a transcode: HDR, a codec, the bitrate, or on Plex "hevc to h264". The ring turns amber while it transcodes.
Streams keep their slot, so a key never jumps to someone else's while you look at it.
Press to pause or resume, hold two seconds to stop.
The rest of the server
Server: streams now, a step line of the last few minutes, and whether an update or a restart is waiting.
Reading: streams, transcodes, people watching, movies, shows, episodes, songs, albums or free space.
Library: a count; press to scan every library and watch the scan's progress.
Task: a scheduled task's progress, or how it went last time; press to run, hold to stop.
Latest, Storage, Restart (on a hold) and Message, which puts your words on every screen watching.
Generated Server and Now playing pages for every Stream Deck model.
Stream Deck + dials
Turn a Server dial through its numbers or a Now playing dial through every stream. Push to open the page or pause, tap to refresh. The touch strip is drawn like the keys.
Three servers, one deck
Set up servers A, B and C, and each key picks one. The plugin works out whether a server is Plex, Jellyfin or Emby by itself. With more than one set up, every key names its server. Where a server has no way to do something, the key says so plainly: Plex has no restart, messages or pause from another app, Emby and Plex do not report free space, and stopping a Plex stream needs Plex Pass.
A server that goes away says so
Keys hold steady for 30 seconds, so a slow answer never makes them flicker. Then they grey out with how long the server has been quiet, and turn red once it is offline. A refused token or a wrong address is named at once. They recover on their own.
