Tunelight

Overview

Tunelight shows what your PC is playing on your Stream Deck: album art, title and artist, and a live audio visualizer that moves with the music. Works with Spotify, Apple Music, browsers and any app that appears in the Windows media controls.

What's included

- Now Playing key: album art with an optional visualizer in seven styles (Bars, Wave, Ring, Pulse, Wings, LED meter, Halo), scrolling title and artist, and a play-state or app icon. Press to play/pause; a long press can skip or seek.

- Big cover: put four Now Playing keys in a square for one 2×2 album cover.

- Play/Pause, Next Track, Previous Track, Seek Forward and Seek Back keys.

- Now Playing Dial for Stream Deck + and Galleon 100 SD: a standard view with progress bar, a full-screen visualizer, or a mini player across two dials. Turn to seek or change track; press or tap to play/pause.

How it works

Tunelight reads the track from the Windows media controls and listens to your PC's sound output to draw the visualizer. Audio is analysed on your PC only; nothing is recorded or sent. Visualizer colors follow the album art, or choose custom, white or rainbow.

Requirements

Windows 10 or 11 and Stream Deck 6.9 or later. Keys work on any Stream Deck; the dial views need a Stream Deck + or Galleon 100 SD.

AI disclosure: Tunelight was built with the help of AI coding tools. The album covers in the gallery are made-up artwork.

Tunelight 1.1.0.0

New

- Clock when nothing is playing. Choose Flip (the cards turn over as each minute changes), Digital (an LED readout), or Minute ring in dark or light (the ticks fill in as the hour passes). Use 12- or 24-hour time, with the date if you want it. Across two dials, the clock spreads over both. You can still show your own image instead, or leave the dials blank.

Changed

- Tunelight is now a dial mini player. Put the Now Playing Dial on two neighbouring dials: album art and a live visualizer on the left, title, artist and progress on the right. On a single dial it shows a compact version.

- Simpler settings. The visualizer comes in three styles (Bars, Wings and LED meter), with color and opacity options. Everything fits on one short settings page.

Fixed

- The visualizer now reacts to sound. In the previous build it couldn't read the audio output and stayed still.

All settings text now uses Segoe UI at 12px (the Stream Deck default) and nothing is serif or smaller than 12px. The version is unchanged at 1.1.0.0.
