Focusrite (lite) is here! Your Stream Deck sidekick for your Focusrite interface. It gives you the essentials to mix faster, stay focused, and keep your hands off the mouse, with support for both keys and dials. What's inside?

Inputs, control your first two channels: Volume, Pan, Mute, Solo, Air and Phantom Power (+48V) on Analogue 1 & 2, each with its own live icon state so you always see what is on, at a glance, across the whole deck. What you get depends on your model: on Gen 1-3 and Clarett, what Focusrite Control 1 offers for those inputs; on 4th Gen, Air and 48V, plus Mute on the 16i16 / 18i16 / 18i20 (the Scarlett Solo, 2i2 and 4i4 have no software mute or volume).

Visual feedback, real-time two-way sync: Twist a knob on the unit, or change a setting in Focusrite Control, and your keys update within milliseconds. No polling, no stale state, no idle load.

Portable profiles, bindings that travel: A key remembers the control, not your specific unit. Share a profile and it works on someone else's Focusrite of the same model, and your keys always show their icon, even before the interface is connected.

Dials (Stream Deck+ / + XL), hands-on control: Rotate Volume or Pan, push to Mute, tap to snap back to default (Volume and Pan on Gen 1-3 and Clarett). Smooth, responsive feedback straight from your interface for mixing without touching the mouse.

Multi-Generation Support: Works with Scarlett Gen 1 / 2 / 3 and Clarett through Focusrite Control 1 (macOS and Windows), and with Scarlett Gen 4 directly over USB on macOS and Windows, just keep Focusrite Control 2 closed. Rule of thumb: if your interface shows up in Focusrite Control 1, the plugin can control it.

Free limit, up to 4 keys and 2 dials: the Lite edition runs across your whole Stream Deck, every page and profile, within that limit. Locked controls show an upgrade tile.

Setup

Install the plugin.

For Scarlett Gen 1-3 or Clarett, run Focusrite Control 1. For Scarlett Gen 4, connect it over USB and keep Focusrite Control 2 closed (on Windows, keep the Focusrite software installed).

On Windows (Gen 1-3), the first time you use it, Focusrite Control lists this plugin under Remote Devices as "Stream Deck (Focusrite Lite)". Click Approve once and you are set, it works right away.

In Stream Deck, add a Control action, or a Dials action on Stream Deck+.

Choose the device, channel, section, and function (on a dial, set Rotate and Press separately).

After upgrading, remove this Lite edition from Stream Deck: the full plugin covers everything Lite does, and the two editions should not run side by side (the settings panel reminds you while both are installed).

Compatibility Stream Deck 6.9+. macOS: Gen 1-3 (Focusrite Control 1) and Gen 4 (direct USB). Windows: Gen 1-3 (Focusrite Control 1, approve the plugin once when Focusrite Control asks) and Gen 4 (through the installed Focusrite driver).

Not supported: the Red range (Focusrite manages Red interfaces through RedNet Control 2, which this plugin cannot connect to), and Vocaster / ISA C8X (these require Focusrite Control 2).

Fixed: a plop when switching 48V on the Scarlett Solo, 2i2 and 4i4 (4th Gen).

Fixed: wrong settings after a firmware update on the big 4th Gen models until Stream Deck was restarted.

Fixed: the plugin no longer keeps knocking on other apps' local ports (Pro Tools, Photo Mechanic).

Fixed: approval lost after a restart (Windows, Gen 1-3). Approve once and it stays approved.

Fixed: no upgrade padlock while no interface is connected. A key only shows the lock once a supported interface is actually there.

Out of beta: 2i2 Air, 4i4 48V, 16i16 and 18i16 48V, and 4th Gen on Windows.

Plus: clearer notices, "What your model can do" in Help, and press-and-hold keys that stop at the end of the range.

Fixed: 1.0.0.7 could not find Focusrite Control on Windows (Scarlett 1st-3rd Gen, Clarett). It connects again as "Stream Deck (Focusrite Lite)"; approved before means nothing to do. A nameless Remote Devices entry can be rejected.
