Force Close Keys for Windows
by GRAMSHIFT
Overview
Force close a frozen game or app from your Stream Deck when Task Manager is out of reach. On Windows, the keys show which apps are "not responding". Hold a key to end task and kill a frozen app; a short press asks the app to close, so it can ask to save.
Features
Not Responding: counts visible apps Windows reports as not responding. Hold to end them
Close Front App: press to ask the active window's app to close, hold to end it
Close App: the same for every process with a file name you choose. Shows RUNNING or --
Hold 1 to 3 seconds; release early to cancel
English and Japanese
Safety
Ending takes a hold; the target is fixed at the press and checked again first
Protected: Windows' own processes, the desktop and taskbar, the Stream Deck app
ENDED appears once the process is gone
Requirements and limits
Windows 10+, Stream Deck 6.9+. Tested on Windows 11
A hold works like End task: unsaved work is lost, and processes the app started keep running
Some programs close on a short press without asking to save
A loading game may count as not responding; set a longer wait
Hidden windows and other virtual desktops are skipped. One frozen window ends its whole process
Programs run as administrator or protected by anti-cheat may refuse (FAILED)
Privacy
Reads program paths, start times and window classes; opens process handles. Nothing is logged or sent.
