NMS Dashboard

Overview
NMS Dashboard
No Man's Sky, live on the XENEON EDGE. A cockpit with a big speedometer when you fly, and your survival, ship, wallet and the world around you when you don't.
Needs the NMS Deck bridge, a small, open-source, read-only mod for NMS.py (MIT, on GitHub at AussieH/nms-deck-bridge), with Python 3.9 to 3.13 and the Steam version of No Man's Sky on Windows. NMS Deck for Stream Deck installs it with a press, or follow the bridge's readme. Start the game through NMS.py. Needs iCUE 5.51 or later.
In the ship: the cockpit
Climb in and the dashboard turns into a cockpit:
A big speedometer in u/s, as the game's HUD shows it: 0 to 1,000 across most of the dial, then a compressed scale up to 20,000 for boost and the pulse engine.
Launch thruster, pulse engine and hyperdrive as big bars with their percentages, red under a quarter.
Hull and shield side by side.
Power: balanced, weapons, engines or shields, the setting in use lit.
Your ship's name and class, and where you are: in space, at a station, in planetary flight or landed.
In an exocraft the speedometer runs to 200, beside your exosuit and the planet you are driving on.
Get out and it turns back by itself.
On foot and the pages
On Foot: health and shield, life support and hazard protection as big bars, and the planet with its weather.
Ship: your ship's hull, shield, charges and power, whether you are in it or not.
Wallet: units, nanites and quicksilver, with what you gained this session.
Planet and System: the planet in the game's own words (type, weather, flora, fauna, resources, scrap), the system's star, economy, wealth, conflict and race, and your galaxy, coordinates and portal address, shown as the portal's glyphs.
Dashboard: the essentials of all of them at once.
Sizes, and more than one widget
Choose the size in iCUE when you place the widget: Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large, across or upright. Every page is laid out for every size; big panels grow their type, small ones drop what has no room, never shrinking the text.
Show picks what a widget shows: the whole dashboard or one page. Put one big dashboard on the Edge and smaller NMS Dashboard widgets beside it.
Touch: tap the page tabs along the top of the dashboard.
Drawn in NMS Deck's look: dark glass panels, corner brackets, amber and teal. Every shape is drawn in code.
Settings
Show: the dashboard or one page. Page tabs and the cockpit switch, each on or off.
Portal address: glyphs, digits, or both.
Text, accent and background colour, and background transparency.
Private and fair
The widget reads one folder, where the bridge writes its state file once a second. iCUE asks you once for permission. No network, no account; nothing leaves your PC, and the widget writes nothing.
It shows what the game shows you, and the bridge only reads: no cheats, nothing changed in your game or save.
Unofficial
NMS Dashboard is an unofficial companion made by TeaTime. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hello Games; No Man's Sky is a trademark of Hello Games Ltd. NMS.py and pyMHF are separate open-source projects. The portal glyphs are redrawn by hand; no game files, logo, font or screenshot are used.

First release.
The cockpit: in the ship the dashboard turns into a cockpit with a big speedometer, the launch thruster, pulse engine and hyperdrive as big bars, hull and shield, the power setting, and your ship's name and class. An exocraft gets its own.
Pages: On Foot, Ship, Cockpit, Wallet, and Planet and System, each laid out for every XENEON EDGE size, across and upright.
The Show setting: the whole dashboard, or one page per widget.
The portal address as the portal's glyphs, redrawn by hand, or as digits, or both.
Touch: page tabs on the dashboard.
Reads the NMS Deck bridge's state file (0.6.2 or later, for the system and planet on the current game version) through iCUE 5.51's file access, with your permission.
