Pocket Audio & Bluetooth

Overview

Pocket Audio & Bluetooth switches your Mac's sound output and input from a Stream Deck key or dial, and keeps Bluetooth devices such as AirPods on their key while away: a press asks them to connect and switches when they arrive. Works with any sound device: Bluetooth, USB, a screen's speakers or the Mac's own. For macOS.

Audio Device

One device per key, for output, input or both, lit when in use

Remembered by Bluetooth address, so AirPods keep their key while in their case or on your iPhone

Pressing an away device shows "Connecting…", then "Waiting…" until it arrives. Press again to stop; it gives up after ten minutes

Audio Dial

Turn to browse your ticked devices, push or tap to switch

After five seconds without a push the touch strip shows the device in use again

Good to know

Both actions are also in Pocket Audio & Display, with screen resolution, iPad as a second screen and a blank dial

macOS asks once to allow Pocket Audio, the plugin's helper app, to use Bluetooth

Works on

Every Stream Deck, Stream Deck Mobile and Corsair Galleon 100 SD; dials on Stream Deck +, + XL and Galleon

Requirements

macOS 13 or later and Stream Deck 7.1 or later (7.2 for Galleon). A Bluetooth device must have been paired with the Mac once.

Privacy

The plugin talks only to macOS on your Mac and sends nothing anywhere. Not affiliated with Apple or the Bluetooth SIG.
