Startup Apps Keys for Windows

Choose which apps launch at sign-in from Stream Deck: see and switch the classic Windows startup entries in the Run registry keys and Startup folders. Count your startup apps, disable startup programs of your own with one press, and notice when a new program adds itself.

Features

Startup Apps: shows how many are on, of how many (7/11). Press to open the Startup page of Settings

Startup Toggle: one entry you choose, with ON or OFF. Press for off, again for on

New Startup App: shows NEW and the name when a program adds itself. Press to mark it as seen

Safety

Writes only the on/off mark Windows Settings writes, for the one entry you chose; the entry stays as it is

The next press restores the earlier mark, if the key's mark is still there

Keys show what Windows reports. Runs with normal user rights

An entry that vanished or starts something else is left as it is

Requirements and limits

Windows 10+, Stream Deck 6.9+. Tested on Windows 11

Entries for all users are shown, not changed

Not read: Store apps, services, scheduled tasks

Off takes effect at the next sign-in; a faster start is not guaranteed

When that Settings page opens, Windows itself may mark entries with no program file as off

Not security software: it watches these places while the key is visible

First release with three actions. Startup Apps counts the startup entries that are on. Startup Toggle switches one entry of the signed-in user off and on with the mark Windows Settings writes, and the next press puts back what was there if nothing else changed it. New Startup App shows NEW when an entry has been registered. Entries for all users are shown only. Store apps, services and scheduled tasks are not covered. Tested on Windows 11 only.
