Windows
Overview
Windows puts your open windows on your Stream Deck. Every key is a window: its app's icon, its title, and a live picture of the window itself. The window in front wears a blue frame you can see from any angle. Tap a key and that window comes forward. Hold a key and it closes.
FOUR WAYS TO LAY IT OUT — One action, and its settings decide what the keys show. All windows, grouped by app so each keeps its key. Only the windows of the app in front, which change as you switch. The windows of one app you name. Or one key per app with a badge counting its windows: tap an app and its windows take over the keys, with a key that leads back.
AS MANY KEYS AS YOU GIVE IT — Put it on one row, a block or the whole deck. It fills the keys in reading order, and with more windows than keys the last key pages: tap for the next page, hold for the one before. The keys work on any profile, page or folder, beside whatever else you keep there.
PINNED APPS — A second action for single keys. Bind one to Mail, one to your editor, one to your terminal, and place them anywhere among your other keys. Each shows its app's front window. A tap brings it forward, or starts the app when it is not running. Tap again for the app's next window.
HOLD TO CLOSE, AND SEE IT COMING — A hold fills a bar along the top of the key, and the window closes when the bar is full. Let go before that and the window stays. You can set a hold to minimise instead, or to do nothing.
THE INFOBAR, PUT TO WORK — On a Stream Deck Neo, put the Infobar action on it and it becomes a Dock: every running app in a row, the one in front framed, a dot under each for every window it has. The keys show one page of windows; the Infobar shows your whole desk at once. Or set it to show the full title of the window in front. And while you hold a key, it names the window that is about to close and shows how soon.
IT WORKS AT ONCE, AND BETTER WITH EACH PERMISSION — Nothing is asked for up front. With no permission at all you get one key per running app, and a tap brings it forward. Allow Screen Recording for Stream Deck and every window gets its own key, with its title and a live picture. Allow Accessibility and a tap raises that exact window, and a hold can close or minimise it. Both are offered in the key's settings, each with what it adds.
PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION — No account, no analytics, no server of ours, no network at all. Window pictures are taken on your Mac, kept in memory and sent nowhere.
TRY IT FIRST — Windows Lite is the free edition: one key per running app, tap to switch, no permission needed.
macOS 12 or newer, with the Stream Deck app 7.6 or newer. Works on any Stream Deck with keys; the Infobar action needs a Stream Deck Neo. Not available for Windows PCs.
