Give your everyday email routine a place on your Stream Deck. Mail Control brings unread counts and practical Apple Mail controls to dedicated keys—so you can see what’s waiting and take the next step with a press.

Create separate keys for Work, Personal or a specific mailbox. See unread counts directly on the buttons, add your own labels and colors, and optionally display the latest unread sender.

Press to open your mailbox. Hold to ask Mail for new messages.

Mark messages read or unread. Toggle your preferred flag color. Move your selection to a saved mailbox, or build an Archive key with a different destination for each account.

Use Next Unread to open the oldest or newest pending message and keep moving through your inbox.

Open a fresh draft or prepare a template with recipients, subject, text and a Mail signature. Reply to the sender or everyone, or open a forward draft.

Everything opens in Mail for you to review and send.

Choose your defaults in the Stream Deck settings, then close the configuration window. Clear key labels and small, temporary feedback indicators keep your controls easy to recognize.

Mail Control uses the accounts already configured in Apple Mail. Mail handles authentication and synchronization. The plugin processes information locally and has no telemetry.

Requirements

- macOS 26 or later and Stream Deck 7.1 or later.

- Apple Mail running, including in the background.

- Automation permission to control Mail.

Visible counters refresh every 15 seconds. Smart Mailboxes are not supported. Selection actions support up to 200 messages; Reply and Forward require one. Sender previews and Next Unread inspect up to 5,000 unread messages.

Bring Apple Mail to your Stream Deck with nine dedicated actions:

- Unread Mail: view unread counts and open your inboxes or saved mailboxes.

- Next Unread: open the oldest or newest unread message.

- Read / Unread: change the read status of selected messages.

- Flag: apply or remove your chosen flag color.

- Move to Mailbox: file messages using fixed or per-account destinations.

- Compose: open a blank draft or a saved template.

- Reply: reply to the sender or all recipients.

- Forward: prepare a forward draft for the selected message.

- Check Mail: request new messages from all or selected accounts.

Includes customizable labels and colors, optional sender previews, consistent key designs, and compact feedback indicators.

Requires macOS 26+, Stream Deck 7.1+, and Automation permission to control Apple Mail.
